just read your thread about oblivion to oblivion, watched the video you posted and wondered if you'd be willing to let me send you some videos on the book of mormon.
as you may know, i'm lds and i believe there's substantial evidence for the historicity of the book.
but i'm also aware there's evidence and proof.

Cult recruitment does go on here and sadly some fall for it.
It is nuts that people can convert to LDS with eyes wide open, if they do it is because they have never really understood what they left behind in the JWs nor have they learnt any critical thinking skills and developed a functional BullShit meter.
so in today's wt, as brought out in another thread, it is the nations that make the declaration of "peace and security.
" yet just a few paragraphs later they claim, in answer to their own question of who declares "peace and security", that the bible doesn't say.. in the very next paragraph they say that angels are holding back the destructive winds of the great tribulation.
to answer their next question as to what those angels are waiting for they say the wait is for the "annointed" to receive their second sealing, referring to a 2007 q/r which says the second sealing is finished only when the "annointed" (including the gb) are in heaven.
I release a lot of wind, sometimes I think i even hear a trumpet blast or two.....
last night i was finally able to make it to the movies and saw 'lone survivor', starring mark wahlberg.
i did a little research beforehand about the film.
premise: 4 u.s. navy seals are trapped in the mountains of afghanistan during a botched attempt to capture a taliban leader.
OK I watched it and it started out great in the opening credits etc then it was downhill all the way with occaisonal blips upward. Typical US propaganda fare that spoils a lot of films.
Wahlberg cant really act, he is always the exact same character in all his films with differing levels of comedy depending on role, 2 Guns was a better example of his recent work.
The book is probably a better option.
I give it 5 /10
after two months of not coming to my house, today about two hours ago, one of the elders that came two months ago came to my house.
he was in serve-us with other brothers from the spanish cong and came into my house with a friend of mine (not another elder).
he said he wanted to talk to me, and he said it in front of my mom and my dad (both were there).. what was interesting is that it seems like it will be a one-on-one for half-hour.
They arrange a meet with you and you dont know what it's about or who exactly will be meeting with you?
Thy dont charge you $$$s to ask questions you know.
When you get sales calls from strangers on the phone are you the type who says OK and cant get yourself off the phone until you've bought something from them? If you aren't then you give a good impersonation of one.

Some may find it useful
so here i am after about 18 months of wake up.
the first 6 months were a rollercoster of feelings as my whole belief system unravelled.
the last year has been more stable but things seem like they are just stalling now.. my wife is aware of many of my feelings although i have held back the fact that i am pretty close to denying all belief in any kind of god.
It's easy for me to say just do it, but I know I stuggled with quitting earlier than I did despite knowing it was bollocks for fear of the reactions of my familly, and I am single with no wife and kids to consider.
But yes, you know that you will be stuck like this until you change it yourself.

"Miracles" is obviousy the term used to convey the ones purportedly done by Jesus during his ministry, ...we know that and you know that.
hubby informed me that an announcement was made to his congreation not to approach us when we are out together.
this was done at his request.
another way he can control me i guess.
Hubby is talking bollocks most likely and unless / until you have the story verified from someone who would honestly know about it you shouldnt even believe it.
Sounds like you are in an abusive relationship and need to get out.
Phone or visit the COBE and get his viewpoint.

I'd queued this up to watch later already, so now look forward to it a bit more already thanks...
